Description

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan thoroughly.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing until fully incorporated. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually alternate adding the dry mixture and milk to the creamed mixture until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chopped maraschino cherries.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared bundt pan and bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow cooling before transferring to a serving plate and dust with powdered sugar.
