Delicious homemade popovers that are light and airy, perfect for any meal!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for greasing muffin tin)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F and place the muffin tin inside to heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk eggs and milk until fully combined and frothy.
  3. Add flour and salt gradually, whisking until batter is smooth.
  4. Let the batter rest for 10 minutes to reduce bubbles and improve texture.
  5. Remove the hot muffin tin from the oven and add 1/2 teaspoon of melted butter into each cup.
  6. Quickly pour batter into each cup, filling about halfway.
  7. Bake at 450°F for 15 minutes without opening the oven door.
  8. Reduce heat to 350°F and bake for another 15–20 minutes until golden and puffed.
  9. Carefully remove popovers from the tin and serve hot.

Notes

  • These popovers are best served fresh out of the oven.
