Description

A delicious creamy spaghetti dish with fresh basil and tomatoes.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 can (28 oz) whole tomatoes (preferably San Marzano)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, warm olive oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add canned tomatoes and crush them; let simmer until bubbly.
  3. Stir in heavy cream and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Add uncooked spaghetti directly into the sauce and cook according to package instructions, stirring occasionally.
  5. Once cooked, mix in fresh basil and serve topped with grated Parmesan.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider using freshly cracked black pepper.
